Why we built this
We wanted to send a friend a birthday card online and went looking for something nice. Most of what we found made a simple, kind gesture more complicated than it needed to be—accounts to set up before you start, on-site currencies to buy, and required upgrades stacked between you and the send button.
Greeting cards are a lovely thing. Sending one shouldn’t take more than a minute, and it shouldn’t cost more than a coffee. So we built the simplest version we could imagine: pick a card, write your note, send a link.
What Sprig is
Free to start, cheap forever. Your first card needs no account at all; the next five are free with one. No coins, no credits, no stamps—and never a premium tier hiding the good cards.
Instant. Pick an occasion, choose a design, write your note, and send a link by text or email. Since it’s coming from you, it’s sure to be delivered.
No app. It’s a web page. Your recipient just taps the link and the card opens.

How it works

Choose a card. Modern and witty, or traditional and heartfelt—in your favorite color.
Write your message. Add who it’s for and who it’s from, preview it full size, and you’re done.

What it costs
While we’re getting Sprig off the ground, every card is free. Here’s the shape of where pricing is headed:

After that, it stays almost suspiciously cheap. And why not? Building a service like this is easier than ever, and we’re not a bloated business of hundreds. So there’s no subscription and no coins to pre-buy and forget—you just buy a few cards when you need them.
That’s the whole model. The most you’ll ever spend is a few dollars—and only if you’re the kind of wonderful person who sends a lot of cards.
