Sending digital cards should be inexpensive and easy

Sprig is the simple way to send a well-designed greeting card by text or email. No app to download. No stamps to buy. No envelopes or coins to fuss with. And it starts absolutely free.

Why we built this

We recently wanted to send a card online, but what we found made a simple, kind gesture more complicated than it needed to be—accounts to set up before you start, on-site currencies to buy, and required upgrades before you could press the send button.

Greeting cards are wonderful thing. But sending one shouldn’t take more than a minute, and it certainly shouldn’t cost more than a coffee. So we built the simplest version we could imagine: pick a card, write your note, send a link.

What Sprig is

  • Free, full stop. No account needed for your first card, no coins, no credits, no stamps—and never a premium tier hiding the good cards.
  • Instant. Pick an occasion, choose a design, write your note, and send a link by text or email. Since it’s coming from you, it’s sure to be delivered.
  • No app. It’s a web page. Your recipient just taps the link and the card opens.
  • Get feedback. Want to see how it lands? Simply create a free account with your email or phone number, and when someone opens your card or leaves a reaction, you’ll know.

What Sprig isn’t

  • No tokens or credits to buy first.
  • No add-ons like envelopes, liners, or stamps sold separately.
  • No ads, and we don’t sell your information. (See our Privacy Policy.)
  • No download, and no subscription.

How it works

  1. Pick the occasion. Birthday, thank you, thinking of you, and more on the way.
  2. Choose a card. Modern and witty, or traditional and heartfelt—both in your favorite color.
  3. Write your message. Add who it’s for and who it’s from, preview it full size, and you’re done.
  4. Send the link. Drop it in a text or email.

What it costs

Sprig is free, and always will be. No account required for your first card, no coins to buy, no premium tier hiding the good designs, and no limit on how many you send.

Running it does cost something, though—so if Sprig’s ever come in handy, there’s a tip jar. It’s always optional, and we’ll never ask you twice.

Who’s behind it
